The document published today (13 December 2024) represents part 1 of the first official inventory submission of the European Union (EU) for 2024 under the Paris Agreement and the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) and follows the modalities, procedures and guidelines (MPGs) under the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF) of the Paris Agreement (according to Decisions 18/CMA.1 and 5/CMA.3).
