This report analyzes Indigenous peoples and local communities’ (IPs and LCs) access and benefits to payments for ecosystem services (PES). Through a review of 129 PES programs across 36 countries, the report shows how IPs and LCs have benefited from PES and the barriers to equitable participation, benefit-sharing and finance access that they face.
