책 소개
Hoping to advance the development and application of non-market environmental valuation (NMEV) for policy-making, Bennett (environmental management, Australian National U.) presents 17 chapters that provide illustrations of the application of NMEV techniques across a range of geographic contexts and for both use and non-use values of the environment. The focus is on two groups of techniques: the first relies on the revealed preferences of people specifically related to the environmental good or service of interest and the second involves asking people for their stated preferences for environmental goods or services using hypothetical choice contexts. The revealed preference techniques discussed are the hedonic pricing method and the travel cost method and the stated preference techniques discussed are the related contingent valuation, choice modeling, and contingent behavior methods.
