Department of International Energy Organization Cooperation

We support the implementation of the government's obligations to major multilateral international organizations in the energy sector and develop and conduct cooperation activities and joint research with multilateral international organizations.

  • Supporting the government's obligations to major multilateral international organizations (such as IEA, APEC, ASEAN+3, CEM, G20, UN, ADB) in the energy sector
  • Co-organizing and participating in policy and academic cooperation activities (forums, seminars, workshops, etc.) hosted by multilateral international organizations
  • Developing and conducting joint research on energy and carbon neutrality with multilateral international organizations
  • Establishing research cooperation networks with multilateral international organizations and developing and operating cooperation projects
  • Establishing and operating a domestic expert network for the development and implementation of multilateral energy cooperation strategies

Department of Energy Cooperation Strategy Research

We develop strategies and plans for bilateral energy cooperation, conduct cooperation projects and joint research, and develop and implement strategies for energy cooperation activities between North and South Korea.

  • Establishment of bilateral energy cooperation strategies and plans for countries in the New Northern(Northeast Asia, Eurasia), New Southern(Southeast Asia, Asia), Middle East, North America, Africa, Central and South America, Europe regions, and development and operation of cooperative projects
  • Development and performance of bilateral and international joint research conducted by the country and researchers
  • Performed “Northeast Asia Energy Intergovernmental Council Operation and Support Project”
  • Conducted “Support Project to Strengthen Energy Resources Cooperation to Expand Expansion into Emerging Markets”
  • Developing strategies and conducting related research for energy cooperation between North and South Korea

Department of Global Energy Trend Analysis

We analyze overseas energy policies and market trends, investigate and analyze current issues by region and country, including major countries' energy prices and regulatory policies.

  • Analysis of overseas energy policies, market trends, and supply chain dynamics
  • Research and analysis of current issues by region and country
  • Establishment of a network of experts for trend analysis
  • Investigation and analysis of energy prices and regulatory policies in major countries
  • Establishment and operation of a database for analyzing overseas energy policies and market trends
  • Provision of analysis services on overseas energy policies and market trends to government and energy-related agencies
